Academy Theatre Shows

Enjoy a balmy summer evening in the cool indoors while taking in a show at the Academy Theatre in Hapeville. In addition to their July run of The Wash, a humorous tale of the Black laundresses' strike of 1881, the theatre has several live music acts and other performances on their summer calendar

Arches Brewing Events

It's official: Arches Brewing is sadly moving from it's original Hapeville location later this summer. The good news is that they have packed their calendar with events through the end of July! Weekly events include Trivia Tuesdays, Film Club Wednesdays, Karaoke Thursdays, and their Chillen Like A Hapevillian live music series every Saturday. Their tasting room doubles as an art gallery, and they will host one last art opening for "BLOWOUT: Beyond the Skin, Into the Art" on July 6th from 5 - 10 pm. Atlanta Dream Season

Hapeville's Coffee & Chrome

Coffee & Chrome is a free car & motorcycle show in Hapeville that takes place in Jess Lucas Park every second Saturday of the month from April through September. Bring the whole family for a morning of chrome, coffee, and community!

 

Delta Flight Museum Paper Planes & Pops

June 23 & July 14 from 1 - 3:30 pm | Delta Flight Museum

Spend a Sunday afternoon with The Paper Airplane Guy exploring science using the fun and wonder of paper airplanes! Then enjoy a King of Pops popsicle to beat the heat. This program is best suited for kids in grades 4 and over.

Please note that Historic Hangars 1 & 2, as well as the simulator, will be closed to visitors July 25 through the end of August for facilities work ahead of a larger renovation set to commence at the end of 2024. The 747 Aircraft will remain open during this timeframe. Please check the museum's ticketing calendar for for hours prior to visiting.

Hapeville's Movies on the Lawn Series

June 14 and July 12 | 7:30 pm | Jess Lucas Park

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to Jess Lucas Park for two free family-friendly movies this summer. Trolls Band Together (PG) will be shown on Friday, June 14, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem (PG) on July 12. Concessions will be available for purchase.

College Park's 1st Annual Juneteenth Inclusion Celebration

June 19 | 10 am - 8 pm | City Auditorium Lawn

Celebrate freedom at College Park's inaugural Juneteenth Celebration. A parade down Main Street will kick off the festivities, followed by a showing of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (PG-13) on the City Auditorium lawn, then a vendor fair with a kid's zone and DJ, followed by an evening of live music.

Hapeville Depot Museum Gallery Opening

The opening reception for the July art exhibit, "Vivimos Bajo La Misma Luna," is taking place on Saturday, June 13th! While you're there to enjoy the art, which will be on display throughout the month during regular museum hours, be sure to check out the newest history exhibit that explores the struggle for civil and workers rights at Hapeville's former Atlanta Assembly Plant. Union City's Light Up the Night

Light Up the Night returns to Union City this summer for an evening of family-friendly festivities that will culminate in a dazzling laser light show!

 

Downtown Live: Jazz & Seafood

Hapeville's Downtown Live series kicks off with a groove-filled evening of jazz and seafood featuring Trey Daniels and Major Scale Band! The music is free to enjoy with food and beverage available for purchase. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and settle in for a fun evening!

 

Downtown Live: Wings & Strings

August 17 | 7 - 10 pm | Jess Lucas Park

Downtown Live continues in July with Wings and Strings. Enjoy an unforgettable evening filled with the captivating sounds of Ebony & Ivory, featuring the sensational violinist, Michelle Winters. ATL's finest food vendors will be dishing out everyone's favorite finger food: chicken wings! Be sure to bring your blanket or folding chairs for this family-friendly evening.
