The District is proud to be the location of the ATL Airport, where 18+ major domestic and international airlines serve more than 150 cities across the U.S. and more than 60 international destinations daily. It’s one of many reasons Atlanta is among the top convention destinations in the U.S.

To get to the District after landing at ATL, you have several options:

  1. Walk out the front door, or any door, into the Georgia sunshine. You've made it. Welcome to the District.

  2. From the Domestic Terminal baggage claim, board the Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA). Your choice of Red or Gold line trains will take you to a number of District locations and beyond.
  3. Also from baggage claim, hop on the free ATL SkyTrain that runs 24/7. Hop off two minutes later at the Georgia International Convention Center (GICC), the second-largest convention center in the state, with several on-campus hotels and a state-of-the-art sports arena.

  4. Stay on the ATL SkyTrain for three minutes more and disembark at the Rental Car Center (RCC). Rent a car. Drive it out and you’re cruisin’ the District.

No matter when your flight lands, you can count on a stress-free connection to your District destination. (Pro tip: most hotels within three miles also offer free airport shuttle service to and from the airport.) There are great District hotels, restaurants and attractions very close to the airport, so you need only venture as far as you choose.
