Pet-Friendly Restaurants
Brake Pad
3403 Main St., College Park, GA 30337
Located in a quirky converted gas station in College Park, Brake Pad has been a go-to spot for classic American fare since 2002. The restaurant is known for its kitschy décor, friendly service, and spacious patio. Bring your canine companion along and “refuel” with a burger, wings, nachos, or sip on one of their signature cocktails.
Brass Tap
925 Virginia Ave, Hapeville, GA 30354
The Brass Tap in Hapeville is a popular spot for watching sports, listening to live music, or playing trivia with friends. If your pooch enjoys the same activities, bring them along (and if they happen to be an expert on any obscure trivia categories, we want them on our team)! On tap is an impressive selection of 150+ craft beers, including many local brews. The bar is designed to feel relaxed with a neighborhood atmosphere, and pets are always welcome on the covered patio. In addition to the craft beer selection, the Brass Tap also serves high-end pub food, wine, and cocktails. Be sure to check out their happy hour!
Chattabrewchee - The Hangar
3361 Dogwood Dr, Hapeville, GA 30354
Touted as Hapeville's only micro-brewery, Chattabrewchee - The Hangar is another spot that welcomes you and your leashed pets in and outside the building at one of their community indoor tables or backyard-style patio picnic tables. In addition to hosting regular live music, bingo, and movie-watching nights, they also host fun events such as Hawaiian Shirt Night, Beer and Yoga, and the Tri-Cities LGBTQ Mixer. Plenty of craft beers are available, as well as alcoholic slushies, and non-alcoholic beverages - nothing's more refreshing than a nice clean bowl of water!
Hapeville Corner Tavern
573 N Central Ave, Hapeville, GA 30354
The Corner Tavern is a locally owned and operated restaurant that welcomes Hapeville residents and travelers alike – as well as their pets. The spacious outdoor patio is covered, and there's additional leisure areas outside with bocce ball courts and picnic tables for enjoying time with your four-legged friend. You're also welcome to walk your drink and your pup over to Arts Alley, a brick road that attaches to other Hapeville hot spots, such as Beer Girl and Coffee Man.
The Manchester Arms Pub
1705 Virginia Ave., College Park, GA 30337
Fun fact: College Park was originally called Manchester. This namesake restaurant and pub, which opened in 2005, has long been a “home away from home” for those wanting to celebrate and congregate with their friends and family, no matter their species. Grab a spot on the patio with your fur friend, and enjoy British staples such as fish and chips, bangers and mash, shepherd’s pie, and of course a smooth, refreshing pint of Guinness.
Paper Plane
816 S Central Ave, Hapeville, GA 30354
Paper Plane has patios galore! You and your pup can enjoy your choice of outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy an authentic Thai meal, complete with craft cocktails, local brews, and homemade desserts. Weekend menus include classic American brunch with a Thai twist, so you can feel free to share your boneless Thai fried chicken and waffle with your best friend when no one's looking (just maybe keep the honey Sriracha drizzle for yourself).
Tom, Dick & Hank
3807 Main St, Atlanta, GA 30337
Nothing says family-meal like a heaping plate of barbecue. Tom, Dick & Hank recognize that some of our most-loved family members often come with four legs, so they happily provide patio space and table-side water bowl service for you and your fur fam. The craft margaritas are the perfect pairing to TDH's selection of signature smoked wings, ribs, and fiery nachos. You better believe it's finger lickin' good - something else that will make your pup glad you brought them along.
Dog Parks & Trails
Charles E. Phillips Esquire Park
4400 Herschel Rd, College Park, GA 30337
The Atlanta Airport District has many pet-friendly places to eat and sleep, as well as parks and trails to get out and play during your stay! Charles E. Phillips Esquire Park has undergone many transformations over the years and continues to be a community favorite. There is a 1/2 mile well-maintained trail that offers some sun and shade while you and your pooch get your steps in, a new splash pad where adventurous doggos could rinse off after a roll in the grassy fields, and covered pavilions where you can plan a picnic (or a good opportunity to eat any leftovers from all the pet-friendly restaurants).
Global Gateway Connector Pedestrian Bridge
Trail Head: Intersection of John Wesley Avenue and W Main Street, College Park, GA 30337
For those who fancy a treeline stroll across a modern piece of art meets architecture, take a walk on College Park's newest addition to their trail system, the 200 ft. Global Gateway Connector Bridge. This sculptural suspension beauty connects to the convention center, and provides a safe path for pedestrians and their pups to travel to and from the downtown area for dining, shopping, and entertainment. Plus, it's the perfect place for a photo op to commemorate your pet's travels - the dramatic nighttime lighting really highlights the sheen of their coat.
Phoenix Trail
Trail Heads: 2150 W Point Ave and 4850 Massachusetts Blvd, College Park, GA 30337
The Phoenix Trail is a paved rail-trail about 2 miles long that offers an easy walking, cycling, or running path for you and your pup. It's conveniently located near the airport and many hotels in College Park. Get some exercise, or use the trail to access MARTA or downtown College Park via the sidewalk section near W Point Avenue. There's plenty of greenery on certain parts of the trail that might make you forget you're in an industrial hub, and even a well-lit underpass where you can stop to stretch or take a water break.
Tom E. Morris Sports Complex & Skate Park
3415 Claire Dr., Hapeville, GA 30354
While you’re in town, be sure to visit the Tom E. Morris Sports Complex & Skate Park. Located about two blocks north of downtown Hapeville, this park features baseball fields for chasing foul balls, a skate park for that punk rock pooch that lives to grind, a spring-fed splash pad for cooling off your hot dog, and the John R. Lewis Memorial Park and Dog Park, which features separate fenced in areas for Big and Small dogs to relax off-leash.
