In the ATL Airport District, doing good just got a gate change. Here, meetings land — and with purpose. Just minutes from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the District has long been known for its unbeatable accessibility and hospitality. But now, it’s also becoming a hub for corporate social responsibility (CSR) and community engagement, thanks to an innovative partnership with Goodr, a sustainable food waste management and hunger relief company based in Atlanta.

Turn Gatherings into Give-Back Experiences

Through Goodr, meeting planners can give their events purpose—feeding local families, reducing food waste, and inspiring attendees to make a difference. That’s impact made easy, right here in the heart of the District.

  • Diverted millions of pounds of food from landfills.
  • Provided millions of meals to people facing food insecurity.
  • Offset thousands of tons of CO₂ emissions

For planners looking to make their mark through CSR activations, Goodr offers a range of options for groups ranging from SMERF to corporate
to associations
. Teams can participate in:

  • Pop-Up Grocery Markets that deliver fresh food to local communities
  • Meal Packaging Experiences for group volunteer projects
  • Educational Sessions that inspire attendees to reduce waste
  • Donation Opportunities to fund ongoing hunger relief efforts

Meeting planners can integrate these initiatives seamlessly into conferences, incentive programs, or offsite experiences—blending team building with tangible community benefits.

Good Partners Make Great Events

The impact of Goodr’s partnerships speaks for itself, and the ATL Airport District is proud to support a community that’s leading by example.

When Goodr partnered with the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) and Super Bowl LIII, the collaboration diverted 79,500 pounds of food from landfills and delivered 42,000 meals to those in need across Atlanta. It was a major win for sustainability and community care, setting a new standard for what large-scale meetings and events can achieve.

In 2021, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport also teamed up with Goodr. By partnering with Goodr to donate surplus food diverted from 100+ restaurants at the airport, they provided 131,392 meals to those in need.

In early 2025, Delta Air Lines teamed up with Goodr for its LIFT Program, launching a multi-event initiative to reduce food waste and feed Atlanta families. Following its initial success, Delta partnered with them again in October 2025, continuing to prove that doing good is always in season.

The Good Word: What Our Partners Are Saying

The proof, as they say, is in the partnerships. Local event and catering companies like Proof of the Pudding have embraced Goodr’s outreach services, supporting food rescue initiatives and helping clients reduce event waste while maximizing community impact.

Proof of the Pudding

“We have worked with Goodr for several years in Atlanta and have consistently found their services to be outstanding. They handle all the logistics and planning involved in redistributing leftover food, making the process seamless for our team...Their commitment to food recovery and community support is second to none...One of the most valuable aspects of working with Goodr is their comprehensive reporting. They provide detailed data on the amount of food recovered, the number of individuals served, and the associated tax benefits—information that is both impactful and beneficial from a business perspective.” — Nicholas Klug, Senior Vice President of Culinary - Proof of the Pudding
