Diversity and Inclusion in the ATL Airport District
In the ATL Airport District, diversity and inclusion are integral to our community and culture. We offer meeting planners and groups of all sizes an accessible, affordable destination where every aspect of your event can reflect your values—from partnering with minority-owned vendors to choosing venues rooted in civil rights history.
With seamless mobility and opportunities for community service, the District makes it easy to host impactful, meaningful meetings from start to finish.
Our Belief:
Difference is Our Strength
In the District, we celebrate diversity, honor our history, and are committed to building a place where everyone can be themselves and feel welcome.

A Progressive Destination, Rooted in History
We make it easy to explore Atlanta’s key civil rights landmarks and rich history through group visits designed for reflection and learning. These interactive experiences resonate with diverse audiences and support the work of mission-driven and membership organizations committed to advocacy. They also add depth and meaning to conferences and gatherings for social, military, educational, religious, and fraternal groups.
Hop-on-hop-off tour operators like Hop N’ Go Tours or Chit Chat Tours, can work with you to create a custom itinerary for your group, including Black History tours, or create your own journey to the area’s many must-see cultural sites.

Atlanta Ranks Among the Top Cities for Equality
The Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2022 Municipal Equality Index awarded the Atlanta metropolitan area a top score of 100, recognizing its leadership in LGBTQ+ equality across non-discrimination laws, municipal services, law enforcement, and local leadership.
Support Local, Minority-Owned Businesses During Your Meeting
The District is proud to partner with businesses that reflect the diversity of our community, including many that are Black-owned, Hispanic-owned, LGBTQ+-owned, and women-led.
Our Sales and Services Team can help you connect with vendors from our wide network of minority-owned partners, suppliers, and vendors.

Seamless Mobility and Affordability
Ease of mobility and affordability are crucial to advancing inclusion. While visitors can easily get here by car or using rideshare, you don’t need to have a car to get around the District.
We are conveniently located adjacent to the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) and priced about 30% cheaper than the big city for even more accessibility.
"Because GICC is connected to the Atlanta airport, people can fly in for our event, stay in one of the six hotels on campus and fly out without needing to rent a car."
