ATLANTA – (September 7, 2022) – The ATL Airport District, the destination marketing organization for the cities of College Park, Hapeville, and Union City, Georgia, today announced the return of a former senior sales manager, Todd Neal. Neal served on the ATL Airport District team for over six years, focusing on selling the District’s world-class convention, meeting and hospitality facilities to military, education, religious, social, and fraternal groups. Over the course of his career, Neal has demonstrated strong relationship building and networking skills.
"It was a pleasure to work with Todd from 2013 to 2019, and we are thrilled to have him back on our team," said Cookie Smoak, president of the ATL Airport District. "During his previous employment with us, he consistently exceeded my expectations, introducing the ATL Airport District to more than 40 new meeting planners. Neal is also an avid traveler, having visited 45 of the states in our country, and we look forward to the travel expertise he will bring in his role as a senior sales manager for the ATL Airport District."
Neal has completed the Destination Marketing Association International Sales Training Academy and is a member of the National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners (NCBMP) and Religious Conference Management Association (RCMA). He began his career serving as a tour manager in the entertainment industry. From there, he served in various meeting planning and sales roles with convention bureaus and hospitality organizations in Atlanta and Macon, Georgia, Kansas City, Missouri, and Cleveland, Ohio. Later, Neal joined the ATL Airport District team as a senior sales manager until 2019 when he left to work as a Meeting & Events Consultant at 1600 Hospitality Group. The organization is overjoyed Todd found his way back to ATL Airport District.
A Native of Kansas City, Todd currently resides in Metro Atlanta with his daughter Paige. When he's not excelling in sales management, Todd enjoys cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, playing the drums, dining at the Corner Grille, and playing sports.
