The ATL Airport District offers opportunities for groups of all sizes to step outside the conference room and connect in meaningful, memorable ways. Here are a few of our favorite off-site experiences.
Small Groups (Up to 50 People)
The Cooking Schools Hapeville
The Cooking School in Hapeville is a boutique destination catering to foodies seeking an active, engaging culinary experience. The best chefs and cooking instructors in the area help guests create a full, family-style meal. Then, everyone sits down to enjoy the dishes they created together.
Although smaller class sizes are optimal, the Cooking School can accommodate up to 80 people with adjustments made to the activity structure.
The Wellness Spot
The Wellness Spot is an upscale fitness studio, day spa, and event space in Historic College Park. Guests can enjoy a total well-being experience, with services including IV therapy, cryotherapy, infrared sauna, and group wellness or recovery sessions. Group capacity for the wellness lounge and its services is 15-30 guests.
The studio can accommodate as many as 130 guests for a cocktail and/or dinner setup.
Mid-Range Groups (100 or Less People)
Academy Theatre
The Academy Theatre, founded in 1956, is one of the longest-running professional theatres in Georgia, and is noted as a community pioneer, being the first professional theatre in the South to integrate, as well as and the first to host the Southeastern Shakespeare Festival. Groups can attend a performance at the Academy Theatre or participate in one of its improv-based team-building sessions. The Diamond Stage has 65 seats; while (for slightly larger groups) the Mainstage Theatre seats 136.
Atlanta Community Food Bank
For groups wanting to make an impact on the local community they are visiting, Atlanta Community Food Bank offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities for groups of eight to 60 people. In 2025, the Atlanta Community Food Bank distributed nearly 112 million meals to people in need across Georgia. It’s one of the largest food banks in the country. In addition to its full-time staff and a large network of community-based partners, the Atlanta Food Bank relies on volunteers to help procure and distribute grocery items to the food insecure. Volunteers at the North Desert Drive facility in East Point, Atlanta, may perform tasks such as sorting, packing, and inspecting food donations.
Atlanta Printmakers Studio
The Atlanta Printmakers Studio supports the fine art of printmaking and provides instruction for anyone interested in learning the craft. The studio offers a creative space for makers of all skills levels, offering a variety of classes, workshops, demonstrations, and programs. The hands-on classes cover a wide range of techniques and are led by professional artists who are active in the print community. Guests can create their own custom artwork as a team takeaway.
Chick-fil-A Backstage Tour
Did you know that before the famous chicken sandwich, Chick-fil-A was serving up diner favorites like burgers and pies? Learn about one of the nation’s most well-known brands, its history, and leadership inspiration during the Chick-fil-A Backstage Tour. Planners can select a guided walking tour of the corporate headquarters, which explores founder S. Truett Cathy’s approach to hospitality. Highlights of this behind-the-scenes experience include a look at Cathy’s office, his classic car collection, a Cathy family film, and the history museum. Guests can learn about the evolution of Chick-fil-A and Truett Cathy’s leadership legacy. The tour accommodates groups as large as 100 people; groups over 100 can be divided into smaller tour segments.
Love Beyond Walls
Love Beyond Walls is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing dignity, empathy, and a safe space to community members who are unhoused or facing poverty. Their programs focus on essentials such as sanitation, food insecurity, and mental health. By humanizing the folks who are often treated as invisible, Love Beyond Walls fosters connection and solutions to societal issues. Your group can be a part of this tremendous effort to bring resources to those in need.
Metro Atlanta Urban Farm
Metro Atlanta Urban Farm invites you to explore, learn, eat, and grow with them! The Farm believes that everyone deserves access to affordable, high-quality produce – the Black-owned organization’s mission is to teach families how to garden and nourish themselves, creating future generations of urban agriculturalists. The Farm offers practical gardening classes, as well as custom field trips and tours. Guests can learn about local food systems, participate in an agriculture-related team activity, and tour the five-acre property.

Delta Flight Museum
The Delta Flight Museum invites visitors from around the world to learn aviation history, experience the future of flight, and celebrate Delta’s story. The museum, which unveiled a fresh look following renovations in 2025, features engaging and interactive exhibits for groups of all sizes and interests. Guests can explore antique aircraft, pilot a flight simulator, or host an event in one of the aviation-themed spaces. This 68,000-square-foot, one-of-a-kind venue can accommodate meetings, conferences, and other special events, with capacity ranging from 24 to 1,200 guests.
Fun Spot America - Atlanta
Fun Spot America is a theme park located in Fayetteville, Georgia – about 20 minutes from the ATL Airport District. The park features a Ferris wheel, batting cages, arcade games, and Georgia’s first and only multi-level go-kart track. There are dozens of indoor and outdoor attractions. Fun Spot America is family-owned, and its motto is safe, clean, fun for the whole family. Fun Spot hosts company picnics, team-building exercises, and appreciation events in its indoor event space and covered pavilions. The park has space suitable for hundreds to thousands of guests and offers group ticket discounts.
Gateway Center Arena
The Gateway Center Arena at College Park is a state-of-the-art sports and entertainment venue that is operated by the Georgia International Convention Center. It's also the official home to the WNBA Atlanta Dream, College Park Skyhawks, and LOVB Atlanta volleyball. The 5,000-seat venue hosts professional sports, concerts, conventions, and more. Both suites and group seating are available.
Porsche Experience Center Atlanta
Drivers, start your engines! The Porsche Driving Experience Atlanta is an instructor-led program offering sessions on specialized handling tracks. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience for Porsche enthusiasts looking to hone their driving skills in models such as the 911, 718, and Taycan.
In addition to the track driving, the 13,000-square-foot Porsche Experience Center features a heritage gallery, driving simulators, high-end meeting spaces, and on-site dining options including Carrera Café, and Restaurant 356. The Center, located inside the ATL Airport District, can create custom experiences for small to large private and corporate groups.
