Put on your walking shoes and join the Hapeville History Walking Tours at the Hapeville Depot Museum! Explore Hapeville’s fascinating past, from the thrill of early aviation to the pioneering days of air mail. The one-hour tours are free and focus on a new historic topic monthly. November brings the sky-defying history of early aviation and barnstorms, stunt performers who committed death defying acts with flying machines. Learn about the early pioneers of aviation and Hapeville’s unique role as host to these circuses of the air.
Thanksgiving at the Historic Green Manor Restaurant

Skip the cooking and cleaning and spend family time enjoying a delectable Southern holiday buffet at Union City's Historic Green Manor Restaurant. You can expect their famous crispy fried chicken, traditional turkey and dressing, pineapple glazed ham, roast beef au jus and baked pollock along with a generous lineup of sides and desserts. Hapeville for the Holidays

Hapeville's annual tree-lighting event includes free fun for the whole family! Come out and enjoy games, music, a snow play area, hot chocolate, cookies, and, of course, visits with Santa.

Union City Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony

Get in the holiday spirit and join Union City for the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Mayors' Park! December 1st, 2025. Get your photo taken with Santa, enjoy some sweet treats and hot cocoa, and listen to the joyous sounds of holiday music while Union City adds some sparkle to the City with their Tree.
USA Basketball 2027 FIBA Men’s World Cup Qualifier

The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) is coming to College Park! The Gateway Center Arena has been chosen to host a FIBA USA Men’s World Cup Qualifying Game: USA vs. Nicaragua. Many players chosen to represent the USA in the FIBA World Cup Qualifying Games come from the NBA and the NBA G League, so this is another chance to see exciting young talent in action, alongside some of your favorite NBA all-stars. (The final roster is still being determined - watch this space for updates!)
College Park's Oh What Fun! Holiday Series

Toyota 2025 Chris Paul HBCU Classic

For the first time, the Chris Paul Family Foundation and the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame are bringing the Toyota Chris Paul HBCU Classic to Atlanta, sponsored by AARP, this December at the Gateway Center Arena. Eight hand-picked HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) NCAA Division I and Division II teams will compete in two days of dynamic games that highlight outstanding college athletes.
