November Events

College Park Skyhawks Season Opener

November 14 | 7:00 pm

Cheer on College Park's own G-League team, the Skyhawks, as they return to the Gateway Center Arena for their season opener against the Capital City Go-Go. Check the rest of their schedule here and be sure to look out for special family-friendly themed including their Holiday Game on Sunday, December 14 at 2:00 pm.

Hapeville History Walking Tours

Various Saturdays Starting November 15 | 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Put on your walking shoes and join the Hapeville History Walking Tours at the Hapeville Depot Museum! Explore Hapeville’s fascinating past, from the thrill of early aviation to the pioneering days of air mail. The one-hour tours are free and focus on a new historic topic monthly. November brings the sky-defying history of early aviation and barnstorms, stunt performers who committed death defying acts with flying machines. Learn about the early pioneers of aviation and Hapeville’s unique role as host to these circuses of the air.

Thanksgiving at the Historic Green Manor Restaurant

November 27 | 11:30 am - 5:00 pm

Skip the cooking and cleaning and spend family time enjoying a delectable Southern holiday buffet at Union City's Historic Green Manor Restaurant. You can expect their famous crispy fried chicken, traditional turkey and dressing, pineapple glazed ham, roast beef au jus and baked pollock along with a generous lineup of sides and desserts. Reservations are required and seats fill up, so don't wait!

Hapeville for the Holidays

November 25 | 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Hapeville's annual tree-lighting event includes free fun for the whole family! Come out and enjoy games, music, a snow play area, hot chocolate, cookies, and, of course, visits with Santa.

Union City Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony

December 1

Get in the holiday spirit and join Union City for the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Mayors' Park! December 1st, 2025. Get your photo taken with Santa, enjoy some sweet treats and hot cocoa, and listen to the joyous sounds of holiday music while Union City adds some sparkle to the City with their Tree.

USA Basketball 2027 FIBA Men’s World Cup Qualifier

December 1 | 7:00 PM

The International Basketball Federation (FIBA ) is coming to College Park! The Gateway Center Arena has been chosen to host a FIBA USA Men’s World Cup Qualifying Game: USA vs. Nicaragua. Many players chosen to represent the USA in the FIBA World Cup Qualifying Games come from the NBA and the NBA G League, so this is another chance to see exciting young talent in action, alongside some of your favorite NBA all-stars. (The final roster is still being determined - watch this space for updates!)

College Park's Oh What Fun! Holiday Series

The City of College Park is celebrating all month long with their Oh What Fun! Holiday event series. Enjoy festive lights, holiday cheer, and community spirit all month long with Tinsel Trails, Christmas Parades, Santa sightings, and more!

Free Art Hapeville

Get in the holiday spirit with Free Art Hapeville, where creativity and community come together! Thanks to grants from the Hapeville Main Street Program, talented local artists will be giving away their creations for free at this one-of-a-kind event. Discover unique treasures like TinType portraits, on-the-spot poems, ceramics, leather goods, and holiday plants. Meet inspiring Atlanta artists and printmakers, and enjoy live music while you collect your favorite pieces. And if you want to support even further, consider purchasing additional art.

Cozy Family Day at the Depot

Enjoy a cozy day with hot cocoa, a scavenger hunt, crafts, and story time at the Hapeville Depot Museum. Plus, get a first look at the all new gift shop and find the perfect stocking stuffers with goodies from local artists.

Santa at Delta Flight Museum

Don't miss your opportunity to take pictures with Santa and his elves at the Delta Flight Museum this year! Visits with Santa Andre on December 14 are included with the price of admission to the museum, and visitors are encouraged to bring their cameras to capture the special moments.

Toyota 2025 Chris Paul HBCU Classic

December 18 - 19 | 10:00 am - 9:00 pm

For the first time, the Chris Paul Family Foundation and the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame are bringing the Toyota Chris Paul HBCU Classic to Atlanta, sponsored by AARP, this December at the Gateway Center Arena. Eight hand-picked HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) NCAA Division I and Division II teams will compete in two days of dynamic games that highlight outstanding college athletes. Industry professionals, beauty enthusiasts, and trendsetters from across the country will be there for workshops, expert panels, networking, and to showcase and celebrate the latest in hair, fashion, makeup, and more.

LOVB Atlanta

January 25 | 7:00 PM

The first home game of the League One Volleyball Atlanta (LOVB) team will be at Gateway Center Arena, against LOVB Nebraska. This incredible team features some of the world's best professional players, and they're just getting warmed up with the league's second season. General admission tickets start at just $14.
