Day 1

Afternoon Arrival & Check-InAtlanta Airport Marriott Gateway and the ATL SkyTrain

From the moment you land at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), you’re in the ATL Airport District—already surrounded by an amazing selection of unmatched convention facilities, elevated meeting and group hotels, diverse dining options, and a variety of nearby attractions.

The convenience of meeting in the District doesn’t even come close to stopping there. Upon arrival, attendees can hop on a free, 2-minute ATL SkyTrain ride or a complimentary shuttle to check in at one of the hotels around the Gateway Center Campus—like the Renaissance Atlanta Airport Gateway or the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway.

Featuring 7,000+ rooms within a 3-mile radius of the airport—such as the Atlanta Airport Marriott and Westin Atlanta Airport hotels—and 30+ mostly renovated or new hotels with onsite meeting space, the District offers plenty of choices from the most respected lodging brands, unlimited flexibility and options in budget and capacity.

Connections Pair Well With Cuisine

After your group gets settled into the hotel, it’s time to kick off the event with a welcome reception and dinner at The Corner Grille. Located in the heart of College Park, the restaurant serves up incredible Cajun-influenced food and features an upstairs private dining space for up to 35—ideal for smaller gatherings and networking opportunities.

As the evening comes to a close, groups can make their way back to their hotel and enjoy a late-night libation onsite or relax and get rested for day two in the District.

Meet at the Center of It All

It’s time to participate in some productive meeting sessions. Attendees can walk or shuttle (depending on if they’re staying at a hotel on campus or one within close proximity) to the 400,000-square-foot Georgia International Convention Center (GICC), the world’s only convention center GICC Exhibit Hallconnected to a major airport. With 150,000 square feet of exhibit space and 16,000 square feet of meeting space, the GICC offers the best in facilities, technology, GBAC-certified safety, logistics, customer service and catering.

Speaking of Catering…

The morning of meetings has worked up quite the appetite. Luckily, lunch is being catered by Proof of the Pudding, the exclusive in-house F&B provider for the GICC and the Gateway Center Arena. The company provides innovative restaurant-quality cuisine crafted from the freshest ingredients and custom menus made for your unique group and event.

The Gateway campus is poised to help you get your daily steps in. Attendees can also take advantage of the approximately 1-mile sidewalk loop around the GICC to help keep you energized for that next session.

**Fun Fact: The arena is the official home to the professional WNBA team, the Atlanta Dream, and to the Atlanta Hawks G-League team, the College Park Skyhawks.**

Drink & Dine in the District

Once meetings conclude for the day, groups can head back to their hotel to freshen up for a fun happy hour and delicious dinner at some of our top spots to sip and savor in the ATL Airport District. Head over to Hapeville for craft beer and small bites at Brass Tap or Arches Brewing, which features an eclectic taproom and spacious outdoor beer garden for hosting unique offsite outings and events.

Located just a hop, skip and a jump away, groups can enjoy a taste of authentic Thai cuisine with dinner at Paper Plane. Plus, the restaurant features outdoor patios with plenty of seating and private dining space, and it is available for a full buyout.

After an evening of great food and good times, your group can go back to the hotel and gear up for their last day in the District.
